
Abby received her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree from Samra University in Los Angeles, CA, and is fully licensed to practice acupuncture in California. She presently practices in Oceanside, CA, and is a visiting acupuncturist in San Pedro, CA.
During her studies, in addition to two years in the university clinic, Abby was selected to complete an internship at Samra Acupuncture Spinal Center, a cutting edge facility specializing in modern scientific procedures and advanced diagnostic technology.
Abby was also chosen to participate in an externship at the Minority AIDS Project located in downtown Los Angeles.
In March of 2009, Abby traveled to Beijing, China, where she and her team of colleagues received intense hospital training and attended advanced acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine colloquiums. She studied with several highly qualified MD acupuncturists who not only have extensive clinical experience, but also contribute to the medical community through clinical studies and research published in medical journals around the world.
Since 2016 Abby has worked with Acupuncturists Without Borders and in 2021 she became a regular acupuncturist treating patients in refugee camps in Tijuana, Mexico. Currently she works 1-2 days a month in a refugee midwifery clinic in Tijuana, Mexico, helping to treat patients as well as train the midwives and nurses in techniques to expand their scope.
In addition, Abby teamed up with Inn Spot Acupuncture clinic to treat homeless veterans in San Diego as well as first responders and their families. She enjoys non profit work at various events in the county.
Since 2018 Abby has worked with the World Surf League, US Open Medical Team treating athletes during contests. She has domestic and international experience teaching and treating VIPs and major sport teams.
Abby savors spending time with her family, friends and dog. She enjoys surfing, sailing, dancing, snowboarding, running and hiking. She takes pleasure in meditation, healthy cooking, gardening, reading and traveling.
Abby is dedicated to providing quality, individual, and holistic care through education and supportive therapies. She is also completely devoted to expanding her spiritual purpose and growth by helping others.
